Estofado Sauce is our version of the yellow mole. Unlike the classic moles that have Mexican chocolate and dried chiles. This unique sauce is made with olives, almonds, plantains, cumin, and fresh cinnamon from Mexico. We cook all of our mole sauces with coconut oil. This sauce really puts off a fall vibe with the warm cinnamon and cumin spices. We love this sauce with roasted corn, chicken and rice and grilled lamb chops.
El Molcajete Sauces Estofado Sauce (Yellow Mole) is a rich, savory Oaxacan-style sauce inspired by traditional slow-cooked stews. Made from tomatoes, mild chiles, aromatic spices, roasted aromatics, and a generous touch of cinnamon, it delivers a deep, earthy, and warming flavor with a smooth, slightly thick texture that clings beautifully to meats and vegetables.
